    Module 1: Product Overview

    List HPE Superdome Flex server configurations and architecture

    • Describe use case and applications

    • Identify HPE Superdome Flex server main components

    • Base I/O

    • Baseboard management controller (BMC)

    • Connect to the system console

    • Disconnect from the system console (ctrl ] q)

    • Distinguish read/write (steal) and read-only (spy)

    Module 2: Software Installation and Configuration

    Module 3: Hardware Management

    Access the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface

    (UEFI)

    • Boot server to EFI shell

    • Exit EFI shell to enter the UEFI boot manager setup

    • At the EFI shell prompt, access the boot device and navigate the default path to boot operating system

    • At the setup interface, boot from a file and add a boot option

    • At booted operating system, use the efibootmgr command to set the next boot option

    • Define and manage nPartitions

    • Enable simple network management protocol (SNMP)

    • Use remote management with ipmitool

    • Run an ipmi command against a baseboard

    management controller (BMC)

    • Retrieving RMC or BMC power status information

    • List information for field replaceable units (FRUs)

    • List the local area network (LAN) configuration

    • List environmental sensors and values

    • Retrieve the system event log (SEL)
